Objectives :   

1. To present and debate current issues from research findings and academic works related to given themes focusing on social, environmental, economic and cultural changes in the Mekong Region and ASEAN in the context of ASEAN in transition.
2. To establish concrete knowledge and mutual understanding towards institutional changes and its impacts on Mekong and ASEAN countries.
3. To encourage learning and research about Mekong and to promote and strengthen the sharing of experiences, knowledge and information on the Mekong and ASEAN

 
   
 
Expected outputs :   

1. Mutual shares and debates of knowledge and experiences on socio, economic, cultural, political and environmental issues in transition between participants.
2. Proceedings containing selected paper on given themes.

- Trans-border trade
- Gender and social transformation
- Policy, politics, and government
- Culture, history, and language transformation
- Education, theory, and teaching methods

 
   
 
    Participants
 
         International and Thai lecturers, academics, scholars, professionals, and college students in the fields of social sciences, humanities, development, anthropology, history and other related branches as well as the general public. 200 participants are expected.
